The blanket ban on burqua in some western countries like France, Italy, Belgium and Australia is uncalled for and highly communal. It is uncalled for in the sense that very minuscule number of Muslim women in these countries wears burqua or niquab. It is highly communal and thus condemnable in the strongest terms because such legislation will only further enchant the Muslim minority in the West. It is not going to serve any cause. The fact is that the west fears the rise of Islam.
