None of us can ever imagine such a thing! But look at the lives of majority today: strengthened with the mastery of literacy, education and vast body of knowledge; coloured and efficient with economic prosperity etc., making our nation poised to be the next super power!
The fact is most of us have not set correct goals in life; forget about pursuing them! Can every one of us ask for oneself whether he is aiming at correct things and satisfy himself as such!
Kindly check that your car of life has the correct direction and control of steering, clutch and break to enable you reach your destination, i.e. pleasure of Allah. A Muslim does not have any business with this material world, which he has to leave behind one day and has to account for his deeds.
The wonderful car of humans in body, soul, and mind has no parallel. It is an entirely integrated unit and has maintenance manuals called scriptures provided by its original Manufacturer throughout history. The Manufacturer also sent maintenance engineers along with the manuals for His products i.e. humans throughout history.
Today’s some users of this car, sense it, each one in one’s own way, just as the blind feelers of elephant; even worse!
Don’t we hear that ‘a financial organisation can’t talk about political leaders!’; ‘Don’t politicise this rape! or murder!’ ’Don’t mix religion with politics!’ as if somebody is ‘mixing drinking with driving!’ The people who say all these are the real culprits responsible for the evils in all walks of our societies and like to mislead people on these lame pretexts.
These corrupt people at all levels and in all walks of human life would never admit human life and religion as an integrated whole which is to be practised as per the final revision of the operation and maintenance manual, i.e. the Qur’ān, provided by the original Manufacturer [Allah] and as per the instructor, i.e. Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be to him) sent to demonstrate the way of life for success in the present world as well as in the hereafter.
Here let us see what the Qur’ān has to say about life and death, the reflection of which will help one lead a worthy life here in the hope of a better life in the hereafter, which is eternal and whose blessings are everlasting and infinite.
‘He created death and life so that He might test you, and find out which of you is best in conduct. (67:2).’
‘Those who reject faith and die in the state of rejection will not be saved, even if they have as ransom enough gold to fill the entire earth. Painful punishment is in store for them and they will have no supporters. (3:91).’
‘He brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living. He gives life to the earth after its death, (by rain water) and you shall be raised to life in the same way. (30:19).
Sincerely repenting, regular reading of the Qur’ān, acquiring Islamic knowledge, dying as Muslim etc., safeguards one from punishment after death.
