Union government should commemorate joyous moments of all Indians on Taj Mahal leading the new Seven Wonders of the World, by issuing of complete new series of currency-notes, coins and postage stamps depicting Taj Mahal. Even though Union government did not officially mobilise people to vote for Taj Mahal for several reasons, yet Union Tourism Minister’s personal appeal and vote catalysed momentum amongst celebrities and media to campaign for Taj Mahal which resulted in Indians settled everywhere to cast votes for the Indian entry in the last one month of voting. Union government should now utilise the event for promoting tourism in India.
However while many Indian celebrities were enthusiastic to mobilise public to vote for Taj Mahal through free space provided by TV news-channels, many leading celebrities did not find time for the national cause. Brazilian football-team devoted fully for months to mobilise their countrymen for their country’s entry, Indian cricketers found no time for the cause while they are always eager to show their faces on small screens but only for advertisements giving them gold-mines!
