In 2003, Alternative Innovative Education (AIE) centres were started to encourage children from slum areas and school dropouts to study, but children at these centres are compelled to do tedious works.
A group of children between five to ten years old were asked to lift a heavy container of the leftover mid-day meal and deliver it to the nearby gurudwara. For the children, the container is too heavy. They have to shift it among themselves after every few steps.
