Apropos to “Choosing Leaders – A Hobson’s Choice” (Radiance Viewsweekly, 30 December 2012 – 5 January 2013). The well-knit article unearths the reality of the present situation in a very short and crisp way. It is the reality today that no actual change happens with the change of guard. The problem is that politicians these days bank upon the fault of others and do nothing for the welfare of people as they know that others’ faults are enough for them to garner votes. This week’s Frontline magazine also came with the similar kind of cover story and the article by Prabhat Patnaik on neoliberalism deals with more or less the same thing. It is high time we realised where the actual rot lies and make the thought pubic so that the politicians could not fool innocent masses.
