This is with regard to the controversy surrounding the functioning of the Election Commission of India (ECI). As the constitutional body tasked with safeguarding free and fair polls, it must ensure that administrative directives governing voter registration remain unambiguous, legally sound, and universally accessible.
While clearing up electoral rolls is necessary, introducing complex verification requirements without thorough public consultation has resulted in disenfranchisement of genuine voters. Why will genuine voters pay the penalty for the misdeed of the ECI?

Islam the Religion Revealed for All Nations
The Qur’an and the earliest scriptures give testimony about the prophets appointed by God for guiding all nations on earth. The Qur’an teaches that the prophets were appointed by Allah with the scripture aiming to teach and guide their respective nations how to establish submission to the will of Allah revealed to them resulting in their success and redemption in both worlds.
To establish submission to the Will of Allah is called Islam and its adherents are uprightly called Muslims in the Qur’an. Allah says in the Qur’an:“Verily I have raised in every nation a prophet proclaiming: Serve Allah and shun false God(16:36). O Muhammad! I sent no Prophet before thee but I inspired him saying: There is no god save Me; so worship Me alone.” (21:25.41:14) Thus the religion revealed to all prophets by Allah for all nations was the religion of submission to the Will of Allah called Islam in the Qur’an. The Qur’an states: “The religion chosen by Allah (for mankind) is only Islam.” If anybody chooses a religion (or an ism) other than Islam, Allah will not accept it from him and he will be a loser in the hereafter.” (3:19, 85)
The Qur’an says that there was a group of people belonging to Jews and Christians who believed in Allah and worshipped Him. Allah announced in the Qur’an: “I made a covenant with the Children of Israel (Jew) saying: ‘Worship none save Allah…establish prayer and pay Zakat. But they slid back except a few of them.” (2:84). “Lo! Those who are Jew and Christian and Sabaeans – who believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doth right – surely their reward is with their Lord and there shall be no fear coming upon them neither shall they grieve.” (2:62, 3:113-114,199). Thus, the group of people belonging to Jew and Christian nations believed in Allah and worshipped Him is considered Muslims and the brother-in-Islam as per the Qur’an. It proves Islam revealed by Allah for all nations.

According to media reports, a book titled, “Mob Lynching in India: A record 2014-2024” researched by Dr. Zafarul Islam Khan, an eminent writer and activist, is published.
He is currently president of AIMMM, former chairman of Delhi Minority Commission. He has authored several books on Islam and Muslims. Now, he has added one more feather in his cap by writing a book on mob lynching.
I congratulate him for taking so much pains in the compilation of this bulky volume which will be useful to generations to come as a reference book. I also salute him for his exemplary courage in exposing the communal forces.
May the tribe of such bold intellectuals increase.
