More than 500 people have been killed in various incidents of terrorist and Naxal violence in the country this year, informs the latest report presented in the Rajya Sabha. The majority of the these causalities was reported from the Naxal based areas, wherein around 275 innocent civilians and 93 security forces personnel were killed till October this year, confirms the Minister of State for Home Jitendra Singh. When you compare these figures with the terror and insurgency hit places like Jammu and Kashmir and north-east states, you will find the figures pretty less. The figures for J&K went to around 28 civilian deaths and 30 from forces. Similar is the story with North Eastern areas. Even the deaths caused by a number of bomb blasts too seem a small figure against the causalities wrecked by the Maoists. This certainly proves that the Maoists are not for the people and that their struggle has nothing to do with the welfare of the people. They are simply cold blooded murderers or rather calling them terrorists would be justified.
