A troubling incident unfolded here on Sunday evening as a clash of communal nature erupted, leaving a 19-year-old polytechnic student named Irfan Pathan and a Muslim fruit vendor battered and traumatized. The incident occurred at Rajagopalachari Garden situated on Vasmat Road, causing fear and concern among local residents.

According to testimonies gathered from eyewitnesses and statements provided by Pathan to Newslaundry, the incident commenced innocently enough as Pathan engaged in conversation with two friends in the peaceful environs of Rajagopalachari Garden.
