Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh on July 8 alleged that the state government was deliberately fanning communal tensions in Indore and elsewhere in the state to create a fear psychosis among the Muslims so that they do not venture out of their homes to cast votes. Talking to media persons, Digvijay held the police and the RSS responsible for unleashing violence in Indore. Substantiating his allegations, he said that a day before the BJP and the Vishwa Hindu gave a call for the Bharat bandh, the senior police and district administration of Indore had paid a visit to Archana, the headquarters of the RSS in Indore to seek the guidelines for the course of action they will take during the course of the bandh. Digvijay said those who were killed in Indore violence, especially in Khajrana locality, were innocent and they were deliberately shot dead.
