Some communal organisations once again are trying to plot a conspiracy to disturb communal harmony making the recent Fatwah of Darul-ul-Uloom Deoband a controversial issue. The song “Vande Mataram” not only shows polytheism but also welcomes the English. That is why Dar-ul-Uloom as well as all Muslim organisations condemn it and this is the bone of contention. Jamia Imam Mufti Arshad Farooqi said, “Muslims feel proud to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the country but they cannot worship the land. It is polytheism and polytheism is a major sin in Islam.” On the other hand the Gujjar community has expressed resentment over the fatwa on a meeting in Fakir Udas Inter College on August 24. Choudhry Vijendra Singh Gujjar claimed that the community will set on fire the effigy of Darul Uloom in front of the office of district magistrate. Religious Muslim leaders had expressed sadness that a nation loving organisation is being tainted and its effigy is going to be burnt. Muslim leaders gauge a conspiracy hatched by communal forces, and want the government to take action to curb it.
