This refers to two pieces of news in your column Muslim World (Radiance 10-16 November). On one hand, the military-led government in Egypt is closing all the doors for practising Muslims to enter politics while on the other hand Turkey is removing all obstacles for a common man to stick to his/her religion even in public life. Interestingly, both are trying to portray themselves as secular states. Now, one should decide whether secularism means banning some specific practices or giving liberty to everyone to support his ideas.
