The Anti-Terrorism Squad Court restrained the electronic media from showing any CCTV footage on the German Bakery blast, to protect witnesses. Speaking to journalists, Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh on February 24, read out the court order: “No electronic media should display or telecast any footage or coverage of the incident dated February 13, 2010, or before the incident, that has come on CCTV at the German Bakery which will lead to disclosure of identity of witnesses.” The order came after a local TV news channel obtained a leaked copy of the footage available with the investigating agencies. On the other hand Mumbai police have arrested two boys identified as Nitin Pol (19) and his 17-year-old accomplice for allegedly sending bomb hoax SMS claiming that a bomb had been placed in a school at Tarawade on Mohammedwadi road. Investigations revealed that the SMS was sent to Maharashtra Arogya Mandal School headmaster B.M Patil after the German Bakery bomb blast. Many bomb hoaxes have been reported in the city, but this is the first instance in which the suspects have been caught.
