Cybercrime Awareness Programme Held at AMU College of Nursing

The College of Nursing, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), in collaboration with the Cybercrime Unit, Aligarh and Ummeed Welfare Foundation, organised a cybercrime awareness programme under the Jagriti Mission initiative for its students. The event was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Farha Azmi, Principal, College of Nursing, and Co-curricular Incharge Shivani A. Masih.

Mrs. Mehvish Masih, General Tutor, College of Nursing welcomed the guests and highlighted the objective of the programme.

Vipin Kumar Pal, Head Constable, Cyber Crime Unit, elaborated on various forms of cybercrimes, including financial fraud, digital arrest scams, and trademark-related crimes. He also discussed preventive measures and strategies for reporting and responding to such incidents.

Prof. Farha Azmi highlighted the dual impact of technology, stating that while it has made life easier, it also brings vulnerabilities. She called for collective action to combat cyber threats through awareness and responsible usage of digital tools.

Dr. Madhu Upadhyay underlined the need for preventive strategies against cyber threats.
