Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to India Syed Nabizadeh stressed the need for “dialogue as means to end terrorism”. Mr. Nabizadeh described terrorism as “the biggest challenge for the world”. He felt that to fight the menace of terrorism “objective approach is absolutely essential. We must shun our whims and fancies if we want to establish a just order.” He pleaded for “an impartial enquiry into the Mumbai attacks”. He seemed visibly pleased over the way in which the process of dialogue is progressing between India and Pakistan.

Replying to a question on Indo-Iranian relations, Mr. Nabizadeh said, “Indo-Iranian relations are cordial and are moving in right direction. Iran wants to use these relations as a means to establish long lasting peace in the region.” He also disclosed that the Iranian President Dr. Mahmood Ahmadinejad had proposed for a World Front for establishing peace and just order in the world.
