This refers to editorial “Kagal ‘Bomb Making Factory’ Let the Police End Double-Dealing” (Radiance, 20-26 April). In the war against terror the investigative agencies generally play partisan role and in most of the cases their biased attitude towards minority community has been found. The yardstick followed after arrest of non-Muslims in any act of terror is surprisingly different if the arrested one is from the minority community. The language, script in the briefing or the method of investigation gets completely changed. The profiles of the arrested from other communities are presented in low profile and never made masterminds or projected a dreaded picture with alarming level of threat. If investigating agencies arrest an innocent person then the real culprits are still at large and they think they are free and will take the advantage of committing greater incidents. If the police play a partisan role then they will end up in harming more by giving free hand to those who may have perpetuated any act of terror.
