Dr. Abdul Subhan Subhani, a veterinary doctor and very active member of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Hyderabad, breathed his last at Jubail in Saudi Arabia on Friday, 13 September. He was about 85.
After his retirement from a government veterinary hospital, he dedicated himself to the cause of Islamic Movement.
Recounting his meeting with Dr. Subhani at Jubail, Maulana Abdul Salam Islahi, Assistant Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, said Dr. Subhani was the most active person he had met there in the industrial city. He made tireless strivings just to earn the pleasure of Allah.
On 13 September, Dr. Subhani was to attend a programme in Jubail. No sooner had he stepped into the car and took his seat than he yelled and his head came down. People rushed him to a hospital nearby where he was declared brought dead.
Mr. Khwaja Arifuddin, President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Andhra Pradesh, while talking to Radiance, said Dr. Subhani was a very great person. “After retirement from job he rendered invaluable services in various capacities in the State,” he said.
