Dr Javed Jamil, Executive Chairman, International Centre, for Applied Islamics, has advocated an all religion alliance against commercialisation of human weaknesses. He featured in the Kevin Barrett show broadcast in America on March 29. He said Muslims must reach to Christians and other religious groups, stressed the need to unite in the face of the threats to religion and what it stands for by the forces of New World Order.
He said the forces of economics felt that the growth of their business cannot take place speedily if religious morality is allowed to dominate society. These forces had a big plan to commercialise human weaknesses and instincts. They first campaigned against Christianity as it was the religion in Europe and America. With the globalisation set into action, the confrontation began with Islam which had a much better system of peace which did not allow practices that endanger human lives and social peace.
On being asked about the conspiracy behind 9/11 with many people now believing to have been the work of the enemies of Islam rather than Muslims, he said that 9/11 was part of a strategy to defeat Islam as a system. He argued that the impact of the violence caused by tyranny of the US and its allies is much deadlier than that caused by terrorism. Dr Jamil said the actual players of the Twin Tower attack perished with towers and the “alleged” masterminds, Osama Ben Laden and Zawahiri are still alive but in between the US and allies have caused the death of at least one million innocents in Iraq and Afghanistan. He said that ironically the rulers in the Muslim lands turn into demons overnight, once the West decides to remove them. For decades, the US hobnobbed with the autocratic rulers in the Middle East. They were no demons all through these years. But as soon as their regimes were threatened, the media started demonising them because the West wanted to ensure continuation of their hold in any new dispensation that emerges.
When Kevin Brett asked him to elaborate his theory of “economic fundamentalism, Jamil said economic fundamentalism is an ideology of supremacy of economic motives over every other aim. He said the think-tank of the world of economic fundamentalism has taken innumerable steps to strengthen their hold. They have sacrificed the goddess of justice before the eyes of Statue of Liberty. They have transformed through political manoeuvres the state into their estate. They have incessantly and relentlessly been trying to organise a grand farewell for religion. They have captivated the imagination of the people through the media. They have got the attire of society redesigned so that it looks gorgeous and inviting to their eyes. They have industrialised sex, in which they have discovered the hen that always lays golden eggs. They have relocated the entire educational set-up on the Wall Street. They have monopolised the tree of economy whose fruits and shadows are only theirs; others can only admire its beauty from a safe distance. They have taken science and technology as their mistresses who are always keen to offer their glorious best to them. They have nipped all the challenges in the buds by masterminding popular movements.
Dr Jamil had a dig at the New World Order and said that it is an ideology of exploitation and hegemony revolving around the pivot of economics. He said Muslims must confront New World Order with Natural World Order based on Islam. He differentiated the two explaining that New World Order gives undue emphasis on Fundamental rights, undermines Fundamental Duties and does not have anything like Fundamental Prohibitions; Islamic System on the other hand gives equal emphasis on all the three.
He called upon Muslims to launch a global campaign for the enforcement of Fundamental Prohibitions. He said the prohibitions in Islam like sex outside marriage, alcohol and gambling cause the deaths of more than 60 million people annually worldwide, and if Fundamental Prohibitions are enforced, these deaths can be avoided. He argued that “dangerous choices” cannot be allowed in the name of “freedom of choice”, which is being used by the market forces as a licence to commercialise human susceptibilities.
Sex has emerged as one of the biggest trades at the global level, and as they regard family system as the biggest obstacle in sex trade, they are taking every possible step to weaken the family.
Dr Jamil lamented that Muslims have only focussed either on the theological or the political agenda of Islam and have ignored the socioeconomic agenda of Islam altogether. He called for steps at the global level in that direction.
Dr Jamil also spoke of how the threats of terrorism are perceived in India. He said that now fortunately more and more people are recognising the involvement of the Hindutva communal forces in projecting Muslims as terrorists. He said that Malegaon blasts, Makka Masjid and Samjhauta Express blasts have clearly been proved to be the handiwork of the Hindutva elements. He expressed satisfaction that the central government in India and the governments of most of the key states are alert to the designs of the communal forces in the country.
Kevin Brett concluded the show by saying that Dr Javed Jamil has made a number of powerful statements and he also feels that Muslims must try to reach conservative Christian groups to build up a movement against New World Order.
