Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President, Mr. Syed Sadatullah Husaini heartily congratulated all the Muslims and brothers and sisters living in the country on the eve of Eid al-Fitr.
In an Eid message on May 1, the JIH President said, “Eid al-Fitr is a celebration of the fact that Allah Almighty has sent down guidance for humanity and guided them towards the path of success. Ramadan is the month of the Holy Qur’ān. During this month, Muslims recite the Qur’ān frequently and develop the ability to act on the Qur’ān through fasting.
Eid, at the end of Ramadan, is an opportunity to remember the message of the Qur’ān and the status of Muslims (responsibility bestowed on them by God). On this occasion, Muslims remember through the chants of “takbir” that their real work is the proclamation of the greatness and majesty of One God and that all (of us in this world) are children of the same parents. Muslims prostrate together before God and declare that (true) exaltation of humanity is to submit and surrender to our Creator and Master and His Will.
On this occasion, Muslims remember their social responsibilities through “Sadaqah-e-Fitr” that they have a responsibility toward the poor and weaker sections of the society. Muslims must try to put a smile on every face, remove the sorrows and anxieties of everyone, and wish for all the servants of God to have peace, justice, happiness, and contentment. This is the philosophy of Eid. Let us become an epitome of this philosophy. May we be the ones who call to the worship of our Creator, who submit to His will, who establish justice and equality among human beings, and become a mercy for all human beings.”
Congratulating the brothers and sisters belonging to different sects and religions on the occasion of Eid, Mr. Husaini urged them to work together to create an atmosphere of peace, order, and justice in this country and address the real issues, and strive together to solve them.
