Maulana Azad Library, Aligarh Muslim University, as a part of its golden jubilee celebrations, organised a two-day National Seminar on ‘Next Generation Library and Information Services’ in collaboration with the Department of Library and Information Science, AMU, Aligarh on April 2.

Delivering the inaugural speech, the Chief Guest, Dr. Jagdish Arora, Director, INFLIBNET, Ahmedabad said the temperament of the library users in India is gradually changing from printed information to electronic information. He further said that in such scenario, the topic of the seminar ‘Next Generation Library Information Services’ is indeed welcome.

Officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed Abrar Hasan presided over the function. He honoured Dr. Jagdish Arora and thanked him for his contribution in providing access to Science Direct, Web of Science databases to the university.

The guest of honour, Prof. N. Laxman Rao, Ex-Head and Dean, Osmania University, Hyderabad appreciated the remarkable changes that have been brought in Maulana Azad Library during the last two years.
