This is apropos to the fact-finding report of the Radiance (7-13 April). It is a matter of shame for all of us that the police and investigating agencies are prejudiced and partial. The partiality of these departments has ruined many lives and forced hundreds of youths to bite the dust. The court has freed dozens of youths in want of evidence during the last six months. But, is mere acquittal an antidoteto the wounds of those whose whole career has been spoiled and who have been left to live their remaining life with a trauma? Doesn’t justice demand from the government to rehabilitate them and prosecute the bias officials? I extend my gratitude to the civil groups that are out to fight for civil rights. Simultaneously, I request the Muslim organisations as well to engage themselves in social activities at a larger scale and come up with a solution to counter the prejudice among fellow-citizens. In this regard, it is really nice to hear AIMPLB raising voice over social issues.
