Ensure A Peaceful Tomorrow

This is in reference to the anti-Islam film, “Innocence of Muslims”. In today’s world of enlightenment how can a film be made and released which is derogatory and biased towards Islam – the religion followed by a large number of people throughout the globe? The film has weakened the already fragile unity among people of different faiths and led to violent protests in many Muslim countries. The unfortunate killing of US Ambassador in Libya is a result of hate reaction stirred by the provocative and biased film uploaded on YouTube. Today when various regions are facing threat of uncertainty and large scale violence, it is but the need of the hour to foster unity among peoples of different faiths so as to re-introduce an era of peace and tranquillity in the world.
The current world scenario is such as even a minor spark can ignite the whole world towards a bloody world war and allowing broadcast of such objectionable film by various governments is nothing but unconcerned attitude towards world’s peace and unity. The American law agencies can easily detect and interrogate the entire film team and find out the real culprit behind it. But instead there is an onslaught of criticism and counter criticism of Islam and Muslims in the electronic media, particularly on the internet, which is dividing more and more people on the basis of faith like never before. Also the bullying remarks by the so-called film maker are pointing towards a Jewish-Muslim confrontation which may ultimately escalate the ongoing violence in the Middle East. It is high time the world community today seriously pursued the road to peace by taking into confidence all human beings irrespective of religion, region and ethnicity for a better and peaceful tomorrow.
