In a heartwarming event, an entire family embraced Islam in America this Ramadan. The touching moment occurred during a gathering organized at the Muslim Community Center of Louisville (Westport Masjid) on March 18th, 2024. A family colleague, Darius invited the family to explore the Islamic faith. The family expressed their sincere interest in Islam and chose to convert of their own volition.
The momentous occasion was facilitated by Sabeel Ahmed guiding them through the process of conversion. As per Islamic tradition, the family recited the Shahadah, the testimony of faith, both in English and Arabic. With palpable excitement and sincerity, each member of the family echoed the words, affirming their belief in one God and the prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ. The family members, Tyrie, Rico, Mimi, and Tiana, stood together as they embraced their new faith, surrounded by supportive individuals who celebrated their decision with applause and warm wishes. The atmosphere was filled with joy and a sense of unity as the family officially joined the Muslim community.
