Fahim Ansari was declared innocent by the Supreme Court last year in 26/11 terror attacks case for his alleged role of being a conspirator and a Lashkar-e-Toiba operative. But his clean chit did not stop his joint family from living separately, a report said on 23 November.

Fahim is the youngest of the 9 siblings. His family used to stay in their 4-room house in Goregaon. Before Fahim was indicted in 26/11 case, his brothers Abu Bakr, Zarara, Sayyed, Usman and Fahim lived together. A total of 25 family members used to live in the house. After Fahim’s arrest, they decided to sell the house and live separately. “The family separated in 2010. One of the reasons was the constant checks on the family members and the vigil by the police even after my husband Fahim was acquitted in the case,” said Yasmin, who lives in Mumbra along with Fahim’s brother Usman and his family.
