Family members of an accused in the Nashik TCS case have claimed that allegations of harassment and religious coercion stem from internal rivalry and workplace politics, as investigations continue into multiple complaints.
Raza Rafiq Memon, one of eight individuals arrested in the case, remains in police custody. His family described him as a high performing employee and rejected the allegations, stating that his academic and professional success may have led to jealousy among colleagues.
His uncle Ayaz Kazi said the case appears to be a coordinated attempt to target Memon. Memon had topped an internal examination at the company and maintained strong performance records, which may have caused friction within the workplace.
Kazi said the primary allegations relate to another accused and added that if wrongdoing is established, action should follow. However, he maintained that Memon’s inclusion in the case raises questions and reflects possible bias.
The case has drawn attention due to the scale of complaints and the involvement of multiple employees. Police have registered several FIRs covering allegations of harassment, coercion, and religious pressure. An SIT has been formed to handle the probe, with multiple teams working to trace additional accused.
TCS CEO K Krithivasan clarified that Nida Khan, named in several reports, does not hold HR role and has no responsibility in recruitment.
