In the pictures at G20 with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Barack Obama looks so reverential. One photograph shows the President’s right hand in the right hand of Manmohan Singh, the left so caressingly below the PM’s forearm, body slightly bent forward. Yet another showing Obama stopping, half turning to the Prime Minister, extending his left arm forward as if saying “pehle aap”. These are pictures of deference so different from the condescending hand of George Bush on the back of our Prime Minister.
