Radiance bows its head in gratitude before Almighty Allah for having completed its meaningful journey spanning half a century. Its history is entwined with the history of Indian Muslims and their role in building and strengthening themselves and making their valuable contribution towards building a better and more humane India and more peaceful world.
Half a century is not a small period and the role Radiance has played in projecting Islam and Muslims, guiding and inspiring the Muslims and the entire Indian population to stand firm in the face of adversities makes us proud, humbly and thankfully, in this landmark year.
Radiance has been committed to the universal Islamic values of truth, justice and honesty. It fearlessly fought against injustice, suppression and marginalisation of any section of society, particularly of Muslims. It refused to be brow-bitten by highhandedness of powers-that-be and never yielded to any pressure or enticement from any quarter. It never compromised with its principles at any stage. It freely and frankly, but sincerely and moderately, commented on the unfolding events in such a way that the desired ideals became manifest to its readers.
This Special Issue presents you a bird’s-eye-view of the roads we travelled, the rivers we navigated, and the ocean we crossed. It enables you to know the ups and downs in the life of Indian Muslims and at the same time the vicissitudes, events, problems and the solutions sought by the Muslim Ummah and the entire humanity.
Human life is a never-ending journey. We rededicate ourselves at this stage to serve the Ummah and the humanity with greater strength and determination. Radiance is working and striving for a time in which, insha Allah, the Indian Muslims will elevate themselves and imbibe the best qualities promoted by Islam, and would become the living example of a strong and vibrant community which will make its rich contribution towards an India which is Divine-oriented, with peace, prosperity and moral values.
