Your editorial (Radiance, 17-23 January, 2010) on on the Bombay High Court verdict with regard to Mr Bashim’s book on Islam is highly commendable. You have rightly pleaded for a balance between freedom and restrictions. In this connection I would like to draw the attention of the writers to this sagacious advice of Jesus Christ, “Men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (St. Matthew,12:36,37)
