Israel-Hamas war has not yet come to an end. This is a fact in spite of a ceasefire brokered by Qatar, Egypt and some other countries. The US president Joe Biden in his speech announcing the agreement of ceasefire tried to take credit for this ceasefire. He conveniently avoided mentioning his own role in stoking the fire of the 16 months long genocide with his support and continuous supply of weapons of mass destruction. It was he and his secretary of state Blinken who assured again and again the Butcher of Gaza that they are firmly standing behind the war of attrition. Their supply of arms and ammunition continued up to the last bombing. The secretary of state Blinken in his first visit itself mentioned that he is a Jew. The US administration supported this war with the tax payments of millions of US citizens.

The fact is clear that the US and a number of western powers have not yet come out of the grip of colonial mindset. Israel was supported and established in 1948 as a proxy of the US and other big powers to act as tormentor of entire oil rich Middle East. The blood of millions of deaths in the Middle East during the last 80 years is clearly on the hands of the US and some other powers. That is why the leaders of the UK, France, Germany, etc. made a beeline to support the Butcher of Gaza to continue his genocide. All of them stood firmly behind Israel and parroted “Israel has a right to defend itself”, (as if Palestine doesn’t have this right to defend itself). The world knows that it was not the use of right to self defence but worst type of war of extermination and continuation of keeping the Palestinians and Arabs under heels of western powers.

BBC has given the final figures of casualties in this war. It says that Israel lost about 1200 soldiers in Hamas attack and afterwards the death toll of Gaza has reached 47,000, out of which children were above 17,000. Perhaps only a few hundred or at the most around 1,000 Hamas fighters were killed by Israel.Remaining were innocent citizens.

BBC survey also confirms that about 1,10,000 common citizens of Gaza were seriously injured. Many of them are affected by life endangering and permanent wounds. Hundreds of citizens had to get their limbs amputated.

Almost the whole Gaza Strip is destroyed and devastated because of continuous bombing and air strikes. More explosives have been used in Gaza than the explosive in atom bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The Butcher of Gaza, Netanyahu, is not satisfied with this 16-month-long genocide. He wants to continue his hegemony in Gaza and West Bank.

It is a must to pay our heartfelt tribute to the countless citizens of the western countries who valiantly protested against the Israeli war of extermination. They did this in the big cities of the US, the UK, France, Germany, Australia and where not. This shows that humanity has not yet died, and the spirit of humanity and fraternity is still alive. This gives hope that a day will come when the world will be free from hate, fear and war mongering.

It should be the endeavour of all peace-loving citizens of the world to do their best to eradicate all that promotes ill will, hatred and violence. Let the world learn this lesson from the most infamous and inhuman war of Gaza.

The world appreciates the bravery, self-confidence, and belief in Allah of the 23 lakh men, women and children of Gaza who never lost hope and sought help from God and God alone.

Let us hope Netanyahu and Zionists would be kept in control and would not be allowed to repeat such genocidal wars.
