Acting on the request of the inmates of the Aguada Jail, Goa for Saher and Iftar arrangement during the holy month of Ramadhan, delegates of Ahle Sunnatul Jamaat paid a visit to the Collector and the Superintendent of the Jail with a petition to grant permission to supply food for Sehr and Iftar.
The collector declined to bring food from outside, and arranged the provision in the jail itself, all throughout the month of Ramadhan. Consequently he also assured to allow a Maulvi to lead the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer.
