The Government has formed a new committee to conduct a survey to know the main causes of social, economical and educational backwardness of the Muslim community at regional levels.
The government has handed over the responsibility of undertaking the present survey to the Indian Council of Sciences and Research. The Justice Sachar Committee Report has already pointed out that the Muslim community is facing the various problems in terms of social, economical, educational and political levels in different regions. The new survey would analyse the basic reasons that could lead to the key role for their social and economical development, particularly in their own regions. Earlier, the Sachar Committee, which was formed by the government especially for the Muslim minorities, is said not to have conducted the survey at the regional level. The survey mainly targets to observe the crucial circumstances and social problems around the Muslim community at regional levels, especially in the Muslim dominated regions.
