Mr Alimuddin Asadi, a Delhi-based social activist and Chairman Haj Pilgrims Association, has blamed Delhi Government of being biased against the establishment of Muslim institutions. He said that the Delhi Government should re-establish the Haj Committee and appoint a Muslim IAS officer as Chief Executive for the Muslim dominated localities such as Okhla, Jaferabad, Nagloee, Manglori, Sultanpuri, Khichdipur, Jahangirpuri – the localities that should be centres for Haj Applications Processing – to save the intending pilgrims from the trouble of wandering here and there. Mr Asadi said that the Haj Committee is working since 1978, providing help for the Haj Pilgrims. He warned the Government that if it will not make the dead Haj Committee functional in this Haj session then they will launch a protest in Delhi.
