The Union Government told the Bombay High Court that it would decide within 45 days whether to declare Sanatan Sanstha a terror outfit under UAPA.

The Sanstha has three cases regarding bomb blasts registered against it according to the affidavit of the State Government. It was also mentioned in the affidavit that the State Anti-terror Squad had made a request to include the organisation as a terrorist organisation under the UAPA. A division bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and KK Tated was hearing a petition filed by Vijay Rokade seeking a ban on the organisation. Advocate GR Sharma, appearing for the Union Government said that the Government would look into the proposal of the State Government and take a decision within 45 days.
