Over 3,500 people, including permanent and seasonal employees, will be working under Madinah’s Guides Establishment to welcome Haj pilgrims to the Prophet’s Mosque, said Walid bin Mustapha Al-Numan, member of the Guides Establishment’s board of directors. Al-Numan said guides have begun work to establish three reception centres, 17 field service offices, four lost pilgrim offices, 10 auxiliary offices and six executive boards following approval from Haj Minister. He said preparations also include acquiring 1,300 desktop computers, laptops, wireless devices, microbuses and motorbikes. Al-Numan stressed that the Guides Establishment has mobilised all of its resources and is all set to receive pilgrims. Meanwhile, Sahl Saban, Assistant Undersecretary for Pilgrim Affairs at the Ministry of Haj, giving details of the reduced-cost services to domestic pilgrims. The Haj Ministry has announced plans of a low-cost Haj that would enable more than 30,000 low-income citizens and expatriates to perform Haj.
