This year 1,20,000 people will go for Haj pilgrimage from India. International passport is necessary for the pilgrimage but those who do not have valid passport need not to worry, all pilgrims will be given special passport by August 31, said Chief Executive of Central Hajj Committee of India Mohammad Owais Ahmad in a press conference on August 16. He said there is no age bar, but Saudi government has requested the old, pregnant, children and patients not to travel for Hajj. He said that the special passport will be valid for eight months at least. He requested the people who have gotten their passport to submit them in their regional offices and advised others who did not get their passport should visit passport offices with their file number and they can get their passport within 15 days.
