Dr. Muznah, daughter of a well-known educationist, Mr. Mubarak Kapdi, passed her SSC from Gloria Convent School, Mumbai with 88 per cent marks. She scored 96 per cent marks in XII (Science) from Jai Hind College, Mumbai and did her MBBS from Grant Medical College on merit. She has now passed her MD (Paediatrics) from Bombay Hospital, and has emerged as the state topper.

Her success has a special significance because she wore her hijab throughout her academic career and she says it was never an obstacle in her studies. On the contrary, her hijab made her more confident and secure and helped her concentrate better. Dr. Muznah, like her illustrious father, wishes to propagate modern education among the Muslim masses. She hopes to be able to tour the length and breadth of the country, so that more Muslim girls get the inspiration to complete their studies in science, technology, management, etc.
