An objectionable remark during the speech of a Shiv Sena MP caused uproar, made the House adjourned, later drawing a clarification from the BJP ally on 10 June. Speaking during the motion of thanks to the President’s address, the Sena MP Pratap Singh Jhadhav said, “Twenty-five years ago Balasaheb Thackeray had said a day would come when the saffron flag would be unfurled atop the Red Fort. That dream has come true.” Later, Mr Arjun Charan Sethi, who was in the chair, assured the members that he would examine the record and remove it if there was anything objectionable.
