How dreadful Bhagalpur riots were!

It refers to the article “25 Anniversary of Bhagalpur riots” in Radiance Viewsweekly (7-13 December). When the Bhagalpur riots had occurred, I was not in this world. But, when I read about it in Radiance, I could not stop my tears.

It refers to the article “25 Anniversary of Bhagalpur riots” in Radiance Viewsweekly (7-13 December). When the Bhagalpur riots had occurred, I was not in this world. But, when I read about it in Radiance, I could not stop my tears. While reading, I touch to my imagination; I was terrified. My heartbeat became fast. Such sort of riots is really a shame on human civilization. How disgusting to witness such terrible riots in this developed age. Where has humanity got lost? Is humanity no longer in human beings? Does humankind have no longer faith in universal brotherhood?

What does this suggest?

Recently on the 30th anniversary of anti-Sikh riots, the mainstream media had very much space to highlight their pain. But the same media has no space to demand justice on the 22th anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition. What does this suggest? Why is this media so much curious to save the Modi government? The media is always ready to crush every voice that goes against the Modi government. It is not ready to loud the voice that criticises the Modi government. This biased approach of the media is really violating the democratic face of the nation. Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is also not hesitating to serve the corporate interest sidelining the people’s interest. This unholy collusion between the government and media is definitely a danger for the country.

Janata Parivar

Necessity is the mother of invention but political necessity brings political parties on a single platform against rival groups with some common agenda, keeping on the backburner the bickering of the past. Many believe that it is a step in the right direction. But along with it there are apprehensions and the question doing round in the political corridors is for how long will they remain united and on what ground will they remain tugged in alliance? The earlier experiences are not very good and that is why the people are having doubt about their move and political equations. No doubt such a kind of coalition is the need of the hour but it has to remain united as selfless ambitions of holding highest posts are kept at length to keep the alliance moving in the right direction.

SBI shelving Shari’ah Fund political?

This refers to “ICIF Hails SBI Shari’ah Based Mutual Fund” (Radiance Viewsweekly, 7-13 December 2014). But the news that SBI Mutual Fund of India’s largest bank has shelved the idea of launching Shari’ah Equity Fund has spoiled all the hope of ICIF. Market analysts have rightly expressed their apprehension that the deferring the offer could be political.

In fact, tax incentives were proposed for this Shari’ah Fund as the money will be invested in the infrastructure sector and it will help the government in cutting its fiscal deficit. The scheme would have raised a substantial amount from the people. But one fails to comprehend the political jiggery-pokery in this pro-people initiative.
