Human Welfare Foundation has been honoured with a national award for its remarkable work in the field of education. The award is a joint venture of Chamber of Education, New Delhi and Calicut University, Kerala. Dr M Abdul Salam, Vice Chancellor of University of Calicut handed the award over to Prof KA Siddique Hassan, General Secretary Human Welfare Foundation in a programme held at the university.
The award is given for the extra-ordinary work done by the foundation in the educational promotion at national level under Vision 2016 project. The foundation has helped in establishing 44 schools, slum schools and hostels, organised awards for academic excellence, distributed scholarships, organised education awareness campaigns, availed government scholarships for the needy and that it’s a model for the whole country.
