Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, has recently awarded Mr. Inamur Rahman Rafeequi with PhD for his research thesis on “Role of biweekly Dawat in Promotion of Islam.” Rafeequi completed his research under the supervision of Prof. Iqtidar Mohd Khan of Department of Islamic Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. This is the first research work of its kind. The biweekly has been running since 1953 and is known for its straightforward approach especially to Muslim issues and the issues which have social angle. The paper is currently being published from D-317, Abul Fazl Enclave, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi-25. Prof. Ishtiyaq Danish, Head Department of Islamic Studies, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, conducted his PhD viva.
