This refers to the Editorial and Cover Story of the Radiance 2-8 June. Human rights violations by law enforcement agencies are rampant across the nation. The recent custodial killings of Khalid Mujahid, QateelSiddiquee, MohdJaved, Balbir Singh, Ram Singh and others speak of police brutality.This has become our custom that we cry for a thing and talk tall when it is over, and again stay calm waiting for another one to happen and we repeat thesame practice. The questions raised by national president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind no doubt point out some serious flaws in the police department. But, are mere raising questions and organisingprotest march the solution? What is our protest and questions for if it does not preventthem from their dirty purposes?We should come up with some concrete plans so as to save others to meet Khalid’s fate by increasing coordination among citizens.
