Better ties and cordial relations even for the sake of business between India and Pakistan will ensure peace and prosperity in the region. The invitation from Narendra Modi to Nawaz Sharif in particular and SAARC leaders in general is mainly aimed to hit the headlines internationally and to open up new chapter for investment and business with the Muslim countries through Pakistan. Even if there is political or economic angle it’s a goodwill gesture and both the countries should try to take it forward from here for the people of both the countries. It’s a new beginning and there is nothing more to speculate. There is doubt in people’s mind over the U-turn because the BJP in the past has always opposed dialogue and interaction citing terror issues and Dawood Ibrahim. Is this dramatic turn only for better ties or there is much more between the lines?
