Yet another case of detention by the police of Saudi Arabia comes on October 8 when it reportedly arrested Usman Ghani, a doctor working for the National Guard Hospital in Riyadh. It is the second case of detention by the police of Saudi Arabia since May 13, on which they detained Fasih Mohmood, an Engineer, who is still in their custody despite all the hue and cry. It is reported that Usman was picked up at 2 pm on October 8 and the police have not disclosed any reason as to why he has been picked. It must be noted in the case of Fasih, initially the government pleaded ignorance but later they admitted his detention when Fasih’s wife filed the habeas corpus in the Supreme Court.
