The cruel so-called Muslim army of Egypt has used excessive brutal force against the unarmed peaceful protestors, who were demanding reinstatement of the democratically elected government of Dr. Mohamed Morsi. The military attacked the people with tear gas shells and live ammunitions and killed hundreds. This is highly condemnable. The army had no right to sack a government elected by the people. These views were expressed by Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, General Secretary Welfare Party of India, while addressing a large gathering before Friday Prayers at Masjid Ishaat-e-Islam in New Delhi.
Speaking on the current situation in Egypt, Dr.Ilyas said more than 2600 people have been killed in the indiscriminate firing by the military. The victims included a large number of women and children besides youth and elderly people. He further said whatever is happening in Egypt today is part of an international conspiracy. All attempts were made to keep Islamists from coming to power but when they successfully formed the government then a conspiracy was hatched on day one to create hurdles in their way with an aim to fail them.
Dr.Ilyas strongly condemned the United Nations, international organisations, European Union, Western countries and some Muslim nations who maintained criminal silence on the killings and secretly supported the Egyptian military.
At the end of the speech, a resolution was passed unanimously by the people.
Resolution:
