For a long time now intellectuals and even general public have learnt to read between the lines of statements, especially, by politicians. There was a news item recently that UK recognises ‘Israel’s right of defending itself.’

History bears witness to the fact that these fanatics, fascists, and Zionists believe ‘offending as the best form of defending’. Every time there is a bloody war between so-called nations, there is hue and cry about ‘democracy’, ‘humanity’ or ‘human rights’ and talk of ’world unity’ such as that lead to the formation of the hatch patch ‘League of Nations’ and then ‘(Dis)United Nations’.

Why then there has been a process of the so-called nations believing in (their narrow minded) nationalism(s) going on multiplying in numbers if not for their hollow and destructive nature of thinking?

We in India, for example, have seen partition on the basis of creeds, then formation on the basis of local languages of states, which again multiplied on regional grounds and so on. Just as every country calling itself a nation today believes in its superiority over all others in all respects, which in all cases is an obvious fancy, we find our state governments, all the time talking of only their respective states and their welfare as supreme.

Otherwise why there is a chorus of special packages, AMUs, AIIMSs, IITs etc. without rhyme or reason, and of every CM demanding and boasting of sanctioning funds for his state from the centre. What is special about these packages, except their publicity, when every state is claiming to be backward for itself? It is just like every community irrespective of its financial status demanding reservations in employment, education, etc.

So if sectarianism in any form is to be adopted, there is no limit to the extent of miniature divisions among humanity.

Of course from the identity point of view recognising divisions of languages and cultures with pluralism and tolerance is permissible.

From self-rule and administrative point of view as envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi, and of late by AAP, it is practically convenient to have self-rule at village unit levels, under ‘self-rule’ without making water tight compartments among the units.

At the ethical levels, ultimately one has to recognise and ‘…fear Allah, who created all from a single soul. He created its mate from it and from the two of them i.e. Adam and Eve spread countless men and women (throughout the earth) (Qur’an-4:1)’. “…of His signs is that He created the heavens and earth, and the diversity of your languages and colours. (30:22)”. The variety in creation of nations or races, etc. is for recognition and identity and to respect each other and obviously not for scrambling among ourselves for the resources, instead of sharing equitably.

It is Satanic and against all norms to create discord among citizens of various beliefs, colours, languages and races, etc. for selfish ends on the part of any citizen or political party.

The superficial differences, created by mischievous elements have to be effaced.
