After about twoyear long genocide the good news is coming from the war-torn and devastated Gaza Strip. News portals have displayed the jubilation and welcoming of the captives freed by the Resistance Force of Hamas. Perhaps it is the worst war of attrition and extermination imposed upon the most unfortunate citizens of the largest open-air jail of the world.
President Trump is trying to take credit for the yet to be implemented ceasefire. It is being expected that Israel would also release an unspecified number of Palestinians who are undergoing long jail sentences in the torture cells. It is expected that out of more than 10,000 Palestinian one or two thousand prisoners would be released.
This two year long war of attrition claimed the lives of at least 85,000 Palestinians.Overwhelming majority of the dead was of innocent children and women. The dance of death was orchestrated by the Israeli Terror Force in the name of eliminating Hamas fighters. The world must ask how many among the reported 85,000 innocent martyrs were Hamas fighters.
Countless mosques, hospitals all educational institutions and over 90% buildings were destroyed by the terrorist followers of Hitler and Mussolini. It is highly doubtful whether Netanyahu repents and fully implements the proposed ceasefire or returns to his trigger-happy and genocidal policies.
It is a matter of great satisfaction that the majority of people from every nation and country have condemned the genocide vehemently. There is no city, big or small, all over the world which did not organise rallies and protestmarchesagainst the war. This outpouring of sympathy for the victims of genocide rekindles our confidence in the basic goodness of the human nature. In almost all the big cities of the whole world lakhs and lakhs of people gathered for opposing the horrendous genocide.
The attitude of big powers towards war has been ambiguous. But gradually they realised that the unending bloodshed must be brought to an end.The International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC) also gave their verdicts against the Israeli war crimes. But alas they could not do anything concrete to stop the war. How powerless they have proved themselves to be.
The attitude of some of the neighbouring Arab countries also was very negative. Countless Muslim and non-Muslim citizens ask the question: “what is the use of the arms and ammunition worth billions of dollars which was purchased from the manufacturers of weapons of mass destruction?”
History never forgets, and Allah never forgives the evildoers. Let us remind the rulers of the world that killing of one innocent person is as bad as killing of the whole humanity.
In this respect it is the responsibility of the whole humanity to join hands and force Israel to see the light of reason and desist from any anti-human policy.
Let us hope and pray that Israel corrects itself and puts an end to its policies of expansionism colonisation and terrorism. If Israel does not mend its ways it will end its days. It is already suffering from world-widecondemnation. Its weapons of mass destruction and its stockpile of nuclear weapons will not be capable of saving it. It would be decimated and condemned to the dustbin of lost nations.
