The 20th Foundation Day of Al-Hikmah Foundation was celebrated on 27th March in Ghalib Academy, New Delhi. On this occasion a symposium on “Prophet’s Seerah and Message of Humanity” was organised under the presidentship of Mr Ejaz Ahmed Aslam Editor Radiance Weekly. Muhammad Adeeb, MP was the chief guest and noted Islamic scholar Abdullah Tariq was the key note speaker. Sharfuddin Shariq, MP from Kashmir was the guest of honour.
Welcoming the guests Foundations’ Chairman Dr. Ziauddin said that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad are the best manifesto for humanity and the world is in need of it. Mr Ejaz Aslam explained how Islam promotes the fundamental values of Godliness and humanity. He said that Islam is the real standard bearer of all those precious values which humanity needs for success and salvation. Dr. KM Ameen of AMU spoke about the 20th century which witnessed two great world wars which caused widespread death and destruction. He pleaded that people should follow the divine guidance and imbibe themselves with Sibghatullah (the colour of Allah).
Muhammad Adeeb stressed the need of good character and unity among our ranks and advised that the rights of human beings must be respected for comprehensive development of society.
Mr Tariq Abdullah explained the basic teachings of Prophet Muhammad and his contribution for the welfare of humanity and said that being the followers of the Prophet we should walk in his footsteps and try to save humanity from failure and destruction by presenting to it God’s message. If we do not fulfil this basic God-given duty we would miserably fail in our objective of life.
Sharfuddin Shariq declared open the Foundation’s website www.alhikmah.in. Dr S Farooq asked the believers to follow the simple but basic Islamic teachings of promotion of love, respect and service.
