Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in Israel sent a letter to Arab leaders, and kings, in addition to heads of Islamic and Arab Societies in the Arab world to act in order to foil the Israeli attempts to divide the mosque and impose its own plans. The letter was sent to King Abdullah of Jordan, King Abdullah Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, King Mohammad the Second of Morocco, Egyptian president Hosny Mubarak, Dr, Abdullah Al Turkey, secretary-general of the Muslim World League, Turkish prime minister Receb Tayeb Ardogan, Professor Akmal Ed Deen Ogolo, secretary-general of the organization of Islamic Conference, Mr. Amro Mousa, secretary-general of the Arab League, and Dr. Kamil Sharif, head of the Universal Council of Islamic Relief. In his letter, Sheikh Salah stated that Israel is attempting to divide the Al Aqsa Mosque and is digging under and near it. Sheikh Salah also stated that extreme fundamentalist Jewish groups are attacking the mosque, and holding prayers inside it.
