A Palestinian official on September 17 said the Israeli High Court of Justice issued an immediate stop work order against builders of Al-Huda Mosque near the West Bank refugee camp of Al-Jalazoun, to the north of Ramallah. Jaber Bajis, the head of Dora Al-Qare village’s council, said in a statement that the court gave the government seven days to respond with what action it was taking to stop the construction of the mosque, which is located near the Jewish settlement of Beit El. Israeli group of Regavim, which is monitoring “illegal” Palestinian building in West Bank, petitioned the court against the Al-Huda Mosque and another one in the village of Bourin, to the southwest of Nablus. Regavim asked the court to take measures against the two mosques following its decision to seal a synagogue in the illegal settlement outpost of Almatan in the district of Qalqilyah.
