West Bengal was already under serious problems due to Nandigram violence. Where was the necessity for the Centre to extend visa to the controversial Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen to continue her stay in that State?
Even the anti-Muslim Western countries, which revel in sheltering such Islam-baiters, got rid of her to avoid unnecessary problems. But what is the big idea in permitting this woman to continue her stay here indefinitely?
The concept of freedom of thought is considered sacrosanct only to protect the genuine thinkers and researchers like Galileo and his likes and not for those who try to earn cheap popularity by insulting their own society and country. Fifteen per cent Muslim population in this country rightly expects the fair-minded leaders of UPA to dispatch this woman in the first opportunity to Bangladesh in order to prevent further bloodshed in West Bengal.
