It is incongruous that in the Aarushi Talwar murder case, the CBI has put the needle of suspicion on the parents while closing the file citing inconclusive evidence. Besides bringing infamy to the premier investigating agency for failing to nab the amateur culprits, this has raised doubts over the efficacy of brain mapping, Norco-analysis and the lie detector test which were performed on Aarushi’s father. Since the CBI is claiming that efforts were made to cover up the gruesome murder – such as, Aarushi’s body was wrapped in a bed sheet and that the room was washed before the police arrived etc., – which shows the involvement of Aarushi’s mother Nupur Talwar also, how come the CBI not deemed it necessary to put her to further investigation before closing the file?
